Verizon Wireless customers across several states reported a major outage on Wednesday afternoon, leaving them with no cellphone service or internet connection.
The number of outages appeared to spike around 10 a.m. on Wednesday in Florida, North Carolina, and Nevada, and has remained a problem well into the early afternoon. According to Downdetector, the majority of customers – around 70% – are having trouble with their cellphone service.
The problem is affecting customers across 11 US states, according to users on X who took to the platform to air out frustrations. Consumers from Utah, Alabama, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington State, New York City, Houston, Texas, New Jersey, Bay Area California all reported major outages.
