Use of the Van Vorst Park dog run was interrupted Wednesday morning by a light brown dog, apparently abandoned by its owner in the dark of a cold night.
A group of dog run regulars, canines in tow, crowded into the smaller of the two fenced-in areas and awaited the arrival of animal control. A few approached the forlorn animal but were turned back by snarls and bared teeth.
