Missing LI teen last seen on Manhattan Bridge minutes before ‘splash,’ say cops

MANHATTAN – POLICE ARE WORKING to “bring closure” to the parents of missing Long Island boy Thomas Medlin, age 15, after reviewing security footage from the Manhattan Bridge captured on Jan. 9, the date of his disappearance, the New York Post reports.

Thomas had left his school on Long Island at around 3 p.m. that day and had taken a train to Grand Central Station. He was last seen by security cameras on the Manhattan Bridge’s pedestrian walkway at 7:06 p.m., while his phone last pinged a cell tower at 7:09 p.m. A different security camera recorded a splash in the river at 7:10 p.m., Suffolk County police said on Wednesday. Police said he was not recorded leaving the bridge, and that there is no indication of criminal activity…
