NEW YORK (PIX11) — If you haven’t gotten a REAL ID yet, it may cost you.
Starting today, the Transportation Security Administration will ask travelers without acceptable IDs to pay $45 to use an alternative called TSAConfirmID.

TSAConfirmID will verify travelers’ identities, allowing them to still fly without the REAL ID. But the process takes extra time, and paying the fee doesn’t guarantee you’ll make your flight.
