NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD has released surveillance footage Thursday of three women wanted for allegedly stealing over $41,000 in jewelry from three businesses across multiple neighborhoods in one day earlier this month.
According to officials, on Monday, March 9, the trio used a coordinated tactic where two suspects would distract a female employee with conversation while the third person removed jewelry from unlocked display cases.
The spree began in Manhattan at approximately 2 p.m., when the suspects entered Catbird at 253 Centre St. and made off with $31,000 in jewelry. Later that evening, at 6:10 p.m., the group targeted a business at Catbird Jewelry Williamsburg on North 7th Street and stole $7,000 worth of items, cops said.
Their final hit occurred less than an hour later at 6:55 p.m. at Gorjana located at North 6th Street, where they took an additional $3,500 in jewelry before fleeing…
