Freeze watch posted for southern NJ Tuesday night as temperatures plunge

A Freeze Watch is posted for South Jersey along with parts of Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland. The watch goes into effect Tuesday night for forecasted low temperatures in the mid-20s to low-30s Wednesday morning.

Temperatures through much of the tri-state Area will be below freezing Wednesday morning, so you may wonder why a freeze watch is not posted for the entire area.

The answer lies in the current state of the growing season in this region.
