NYC man pleads guilty to Christmas Eve subway slashing

NEW YORK (PIX11) — A man has admitted to a slashing attack at the Grand Central subway station, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, Jr. announced on Friday.

Jason Sargeant, 29, slashed the victim with a knife at around 10:10 p.m. on Christmas Eve in 2024, according to court documents.

“Millions of New Yorkers and tourists use our bustling subway system every day, and they deserve to feel safe while doing so. Jason Sargeant is facing time in state prison for his unprovoked attack in Grand Central Station,” said Bragg.
