STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Two childhood friends from Brooklyn have opened their first wing restaurant at 698 Arthur Kill Rd. in Greenridge, taking over a former Planet Wings space with a focus on classic cooking methods and fresh ingredients.
Sal Sabbe and Sam Aziz opened Saucy Wingz in mid-March after taking over the lease at the beginning of the year. The partners, who moved to Staten Island when they were younger, bring more than 28 years of combined experience in the food industry.
