NYC subway suspensions and service changes for August

NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) — You may want to make sure you double-check your local train service before you head out the door in August.

The MTA has announced multiple service changes and temporary suspensions for some subway lines throughout August to allow the agency to upgrade train tracks and perform signal maintenance.

N train line changes

Due to track replacement between the 57 St. and 5 Av-59 St subway stations, N trains will operate in two sections each weekend in August and weekday nights beginning mid-month.

One section will operate between Queensboro Plaza and Ditmars Blvd. in Queens, while the other section runs between Stillwell Av in Brooklyn and Times Sq-42 St in Manhattan.
