Beginning at 11 p.m., Friday, Aug. 28 until 11 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, the Pulaski Skyway will be closed and detoured in both directions. The closure and detour are necessary to restripe the roadway and remove construction barrier in order to reopen the Broadway ramp to and from Route 1&9 Truck.
By 11 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 29, the Broadway ramp is expected to reopen in both directions. If work is completed sooner, the ramp will reopen earlier. The ramp provides an exit from the Pulaski Skyway northbound to Route 1&9 Truck and an on-ramp from Route 1&9 Truck to the Pulaski Skyway southbound.
The Broadway ramp was closed in November 2021 to remove the ramp, which allowed bearing and steel replacement on the Pulaski Skyway spans 52 through 55 to be completed. In addition, major steel and pier repairs were made to spans 48 to 51. The Skyway trusses 48 through 55 were sandblasted and painted.
