Rochester man faces federal gun, fentanyl and cocaine charges

Rochester, N.Y. — A Rochester man previously convicted of multiple felonies is facing federal gun and drug charges following an investigation into fentanyl and cocaine trafficking, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of New York.

Javaris Corbit, 36, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute 400 grams or more of fentanyl and 500 grams or more of cocaine, possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking and being a felon in possession of a firearm, prosecutors said.

The Rochester Police Department has been investigating Corbit since March 2025, alleging he used multiple locations to package and sell drugs and store proceeds and illegal firearms, prosecutors said…
