A dump truck driver allegedly hit a cyclist in midtown Manhattan Monday morning, killing the person and leaving the scene before later being taken into custody, according to police and a law enforcement source at the scene.
It wasn’t clear if the driver was aware of hitting the unidentified cyclist at West 34th Street and Seventh Avenue, which is right near Penn Station. Police described the victim only as an “adult.”
