Another member of the Hurley family is kickstarting his basketball coaching career in Jersey City.
Bobby Hurley III, the son of Bobby Hurley and nephew of UConn men’s basketball coach Dan Hurley, was announced Wednesday as the next Director of Basketball Operations at Saint Peter’s University in New Jersey. After playing four seasons under his father at Arizona State, Hurley spent the 2025-26 campaign as Director of Analytics and Strategy for the Sun Devils before moving east.

While the Hurley coaching dynasty is recognized across the country, Saint Peter’s head coach Bashir Mason possesses particular insight into the hard-nosed family, having worked as an assistant under Dan Hurley at Wagner for two seasons.
