Jersey City Bus Routes to be Detoured, NJ Transit Announces

JERSEY CITY, NJ – Buses No. 14 and 80S in Jersey City will be detoured due to construction between Tonnelle Avenue and JFK Boulevard, NJ Transit has announced.

According to the notice, the routes, as of January 23, will operate as follows:

Buses traveling toward Journal Square will travel from Sip Avenue and West Side Avenue, make a left on West Side Avenue, right on Broadway, right on Tonnelle Avenue, left on John F. Kennedy Boulevard, and then continue the regular route.

Buses traveling toward Society Hill/Hudson Mall will travel from Sip Avenue and Tonnelle Avenue, make a right on Tonnelle Avenue, continue on Tonnelle Avenue, left on Broadway, left on West Side Avenue, right on Sip Avenue, and then continue the regular route.

NJ Transit officials said that bus stops may be lost during this detour and encouraged riders to read the detour directions carefully and to allow for extra travel time.
