A grandy jury formally charged a Jersey City man with murder and other offenses in connection with the death of Norelis Mendoza, the 32-year-old Lindenwold woman who was found deceased in Bayonne in 2023.
The indictment charges Gregory Mallard, 35, with first degree murder, unlawful possession of a weapon, failing to dispose of human remains, desecration of human and tampering with physical evidence.
Mendoza’s body was found off Route 440 in a wooded area near the Bayonne-Jersey City border in May 2023.
Mallard is due in court again Monday for a post indictment hearing.
