Powerball tickets worth $100K, $50K sold in N.J. as jackpot climbs to $270M

A pair of third-prize lottery tickets – one worth $100,000 and one $50,000 – were sold in New Jersey for Saturday’s Powerball drawing. The $100,000 ticket – bought with the Power Play option for an extra $1 – was bought at Medina Family Grocery on 17th Avenue in Newark. The $50,000 ticket was purchased at Wawa on Woodbridge Avenue in Edison, lottery officials said.
