Orville Peck Broadway Project in ‘Early Stages of Development’ (EXCLUSIVE)

Orville Peck may be headed to Broadway.

The masked country singer hinted that he could be working on a project for the New York stage at an appearance Tuesday night at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles.

During conversation moderated by Rolling Stone writer Tomás Mier, Peck was asked by an audience member if he was interested in combining his acting background and music success on Broadway.
“It’s crossed my mind,” he said to applause. “Recently, it’s got interesting.”

A source tells me that the project is in the “very early stages of development.”

Peck – who’s real name is Daniel Pitout – trained as a ballet dancer while growing up in South Africa. Before launching a music career as a drummer in punk rock bands, he studied acting in London. He performed in a 2016 West End production of “Peter Pan Goes Wrong” at the Apollo Theatre as well as national tours of musicals.
