The Third Squad reports the arrest of a Baldwin man for a robbery that occurred on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at 3:15 a.m. in East Meadow. According to Detectives, a 72-year-old male victim was working as a driver for Hub Taxi when he was dispatched to pick a customer at Nassau County Medical Center. When the defendant, James Ely, 23, of 2765 Park Avenue, entered the victim’s vehicle he was informed how much the fare would be and that it was required prior to the transport, he became irate.
