WEST ORANGE, NJ — According to Backstage , the Happy Gilmore 2 team is filming on a golf course in West Orange on Tuesday, September 24. The announcement for extras reads:
“The Netflix feature film “ Happy Gilmore 2 ” is looking for background talent, aged 18 and up, to play spectators at a golf tournament. The film stars Adam Sandler (“Spaceman”) and is a sequel to the hit 90s comedy. Shooting tentatively Sept. 24 in West Orange, New Jersey. Golf Week reported that thousands of potential extras camped out at the Morristown Hyatt in August hoping to be chosen to appear in the sequel to the successful 1990s Happy Gilmore.
Sandler, the rest of the cast and the crew have been shooting all over New Jersey for months. Sandler and his family dropped by Goldberg’s World Famous Del i in Millburn for a meal on September 1. According to other casting calls on Backstage, the gang has been or will be filming in Atlantic Highlands, Red Bank, Middletown, Rumson, Hazlet, Matawan, Holmdel, Hackensack, South Orange, West Orange, Livingston, Montclair, East Hanover, Verona, and Old Bridge.
