Somerset County Fugitive of the Month October 2024

SOMERVILLE, NJ — The Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office has issued an arrest warrant for Angely Betancourt, 25, of New York, N.Y., who is wanted in connection with a fatal incident that occurred on July 4, 2022, in Bedminster, according to a Fugitive of the Month press release.

Officials say Betancourt is facing charges of second-degree reckless death by auto and third-degree causing death while driving unlicensed.

According to the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office, Betancourt was allegedly involved in a motor vehicle incident that resulted in the death of an unnamed victim. She has been on the run since the incident, and authorities are actively seeking her whereabouts.

Betancourt is described as 4 feet 8 to 4 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 98 to 100 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She has tattoos on her left arm, right shoulder, and both sides of her face.
