NYC school bus hit by gunfire, sending young special-needs students ducking for cover: sources

A mini school bus carrying students with special needs was hit by gunfire — including one bullet that smashed through a window — on a Bronx street Friday afternoon, sending the youngsters ducking for cover, according to law enforcement sources.

At least two gunshots struck the bus as it traveled with eight students between the ages of 5 and 9 near East 165th Street and Trinity Avenue in the Forest Houses neighborhood around 2:20 p.m., law enforcement sources said.
