Eliyahu Fink, of Suffern, NY, was driving a Tesla Model Y south on the Parkway when he was involved in a single-vehicle crash and the car became disabled in the left lane, just before 1 a.m. on Friday, March 21, State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. It happened near milepost 146.4 in East Orange.
Fink got out of the car and remained in the roadway, where he was struck by a Jeep Cherokee that was also traveling southbound, Lebron said. The impact caused him to become airborne and land in the northbound lanes, where he was struck by multiple vehicles and died from his injuries, Lebron said.
