Two suspects are at large after a barbershop was robbed in Newark on Monday, March 17, authorities said.
At 5:16 p.m., the suspects entered a barbershop on the 900 block of Frelinghuysen Avenue, Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr. said. Patrons ran to the back, except for the victim, who was still in the barber’s chair, Miranda said. The suspect struck the victim with a firearm and snatched his Crossbody bag containing $700, Miranda said. He fled with the other suspect and both men were captured on surveillance video heading south on Frelinghuysen Avenue, Miranda said.
