Man convicted of murder in triple shooting at N.J. store in front of kids

A 29-year-old Irvington man was convicted last week of first-degree murder, attempted murder and aggravated assault in a 2022 triple shooting inside a Bloomfield variety store that left one man dead and another paralyzed, authorities said.

Joseph Ocasio was found guilty on Friday following a six-week jury trial before Superior Court Judge Michael L. Ravin, according to a statement from the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office.
