Newark graduates receiving job offers with their diplomas

NEWARK, N.J. (PIX11) — Miguel Rodriguez is one of 34 Newark high school graduates who received not just a diploma, but a tentative job offer, this week.

At his Tuesday graduation ceremony, Superintendent Roger Leon presented Rodriguez with a tentative contract offer to return to Arts High School as a music teacher, after he completes his B.A. in Music Education from William Paterson University.

“I told all my teachers, I said I’ll see you in four years,” said Rodriguez.
