5th man charged in drive-by shooting of crowd on N.J. street, officials say

A fifth man has been charged in connection with a drive-by shooting in Hackensack last summer, authorities said.

Tahjee Goodwin, 35, of Newark was arrested Friday and charged with attempted murder, third-degree criminal mischief, fourth-degree aggravated assault and multiple weapons-related offenses, according to a statement from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.

The shooting happened shortly after 6 p.m. on June 24, 2024, when two cars drove up and opened fire on a large group of people gathered on Newman Street in Hackensack, the office said. No one was injured, but a nearby parked car was struck by gunfire…
