A 62-year-old woman was struck and killed by a car late Friday night in Newark, authorities said.
Jessica Perez, of Newark, was hit by a northbound vehicle while crossing Frelinghuysen Avenue at about 11:45 p.m., the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office said.
