Police in New York City are searching for a man who released bear spray in a train car in Manhattan’s busy Union Square station, injuring multiple people.
The incident took place on a southbound No. 4 train at Union Square around 10.30 p.m. on Sunday night. Police said the man sprayed the irritant while passengers were getting off the train.
Four people were reportedly taken to hospital, while four others refused medical attention at the scene.
