N.J. cops investigating after boy with autism is injured on 1st day in new class

Police are investigating how a 3-year-old New Jersey boy with autism got bruises and other injuries during his first day in a new classroom, authorities said.

Alexandra Dominguez said her son had no injuries when she dropped him off Tuesday morning at the Early Childhood Center at Quitman Street Community School, a public school in Newark. But the boy was injured and upset when she picked him up at 3:15 p.m., she said.
