New renderings have been released for The Ballantine, a six-story residential building at 80 Freeman Street in Newark, New Jersey. Designed by Minno & Wasko Architects and developed by Shorewood Real Estate Group in partnership with Bridge Investment Group, the project transforms the former Ballantine Brewery site into a residential property with 280 rental units.
The new renderings highlight finishes within The Ballantine’s mix of studio to two-bedroom layouts, including Silestone countertops and in-unit washers and dryers. Select apartments include private patios or terraces. The building also incorporates 2,600 square feet of ground-floor retail space.
Resident amenities include a rooftop deck with skyline views, a landscaped courtyard with grilling stations, coworking lounges, a fitness center, yoga studio, game room with multi-sport simulator, and pet spa. Onsite parking with EV charging and bike storage are also available. A recently launched complimentary shuttle service provides direct access to Newark Penn Station for resident commuters.
Nearby transit options include Newark Penn Station, served by NJ Transit, PATH, and Amtrak, connecting residents to Manhattan and surrounding regions.
