NEWARK — Attorneys for Rep. LaMonica McIver squared off with prosecutors in a federal courthouse Tuesday over charges that McIver assaulted federal agents in May.
U.S. District Judge Jamel Semper, who is overseeing the case, did not issue any ruling on whether the charges should be dismissed on constitutional grounds, but said a decision would be forthcoming.
