Flights at Newark Airport delayed due to staff shortages amid shutdown

NEWARK, N.J. (PIX11) – More than 8,000 flights were delayed across the U.S. on Sunday as the government shutdown drags on.

Newark Liberty International Airport was among the hardest hit airports, with delays averaging more than two hours. The longest delay was 11 hours, according to the FAA.
