Lawsuit filed against NYPD over pattern of pedestrian crashes

NEW YORK (PIX11) — A string of serious pedestrian crashes involving the NYPD is under scrutiny.

One NYC law firm is taking on the department for what it calls a pattern of negligence by officers putting public safety at risk.

Lamar Hollins was hit with such force by an NYPD vehicle that bystanders believed he was dead. And so did Hollins. “I really did, honest and true, didn’t believe I was here,” Hollins said.
