A 61-year-old man has been charged with murder and other crimes in the fatal stabbing of a man on a street in downtown Jersey City.
Roberto Camacho, of Jersey City, is charged with murder, felony murder during the commission of a robbery and robbery, the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement. Authorities detained him on Friday, the day of the stabbing, and served with the charges on Tuesday.
The attack occurred at 12:20 p.m. on Friday near Jersey Avenue, 1st Street and Maxwell Street. Police found 26-year-old Joan Segovia on the scene suffering from a stab wound, authorities said. He died at Jersey City University Medical Center shortly after 1 p.m., officials said…
