NEWARK, N.J. (PIX11) — She may live by herself, but Tihiana Franklin has mouths to feed.
“I have my grandkids come over and they want – you know how kids, little kids are – they want snacks,” said Franklin. “When you can’t go to the store and get it, it’s not fair.”

She’s a SNAP beneficiary, and since the program’s recent outage, she and others in the community who’ve needed a hand up have come to a United Community Corporation food distribution at West Side Park in Newark.
