The man wounded in a shootout with state troopers in Essex County last month was charged with killing his ex-girlfriend in November 2023 in Bloomfield and has two other pending criminal cases for which he was wanted by authorities.
Authorities, though, appear to have never located Mark A. Boyd Jr., 45, to arrest him on any of the cases.
Boyd had apparently been free for about two years despite three felony cases being lodged against him in Essex County, before the high-speed chase and gun battle off Interstate 280 in Orange that wounded him on Nov. 9 of this year…
