NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) — Just hours before officially taking over as mayor, Zohran Mamdani has announced a key top appointment to oversee the city’s schools.
Mamdani on Wednesday announced Kamar Samuels as the chancellor of New York City Public Schools. Samuels started his career as an elementary school teacher in the Bronx, and went on to serve as superintendent of multiple districts.
