The Anheuser-Busch sign in Newark is gone. Crews on Thursday lifted the sign and took it down from the top of the brewery along Route 1 and 9.
Just before 11 a.m., the sign was slowly pulled from the post where it had sat for 25 years. A large crane handled the heavy lifting, and the process took less than five minutes.
