Despite a promise not to begin enforcement of a new overnight parking moratorium at the Liberty State Park Hudson Bergen Light Rail (HBLR) lot, drivers at the New Jersey Transit-operated system said they were, in fact, ticketed last week, the first full week of the New Year.
NJ Transit recently announced that beginning January 1, drivers can no longer park overnight in the long-term parking lot at the Liberty State Park light rail station, a lot that is used by both commuters and local residents. However, many drivers said they did, in fact, receive tickets last week.
