The former Montclair elementary school teacher accused of making death threats against his principal that caused the district to shut all of its buildings on Jan. 13, 2025, is being released from jail following a hearing in Superior Court Monday, authorities said.
Amir S. Doctry, 46, entered a probationary pretrial intervention program for 24 months, Essex County Prosector’s Office spokesperson Carmen Martin said. Doctry appeared before Superior Court Judge Philip J. Degnan.
