N.J. weather: Early town-by-town snow reports reach 2 inches with heaviest still snowfall ahead

Snow continues to fall across New Jersey on Sunday afternoon with some towns already reporting 2 inches of snowfall with more on the way.

The highest snowfall totals as of around 1:30 p.m. were reported in Franklin Lakes in Bergen County and Metuchen in Middlesex County, according to the National Weather Service.

A midday lull in the snow should give way to the heaviest snowfall expected this afternoon as a coastal storm moves closer to the region, the weather service said…
