Jersey City Man Faces Five Years in Thefts of Laptops, Perfume, and Liquor

A Jersey City man is facing a possible prison sentence of five years in connection with the theft of laptops, perfume, and liquor.

According to Senior Counsel Philip W. Lamparello of the United States District Attorney’s Office, Derek Spivey, 37, of Jersey City, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Edward S. Kiel to one count of conspiring to transport stolen goods and to violating the conditions of his supervised release from a prior conviction for possessing a firearm as a felon.
