N.J. cop provided false information to county detectives, authorities allege

A police officer has been charged with a crime over allegations that he provided false information to Bergen County investigators.

Cory J. Havens, 32, of the Vauxhall section of Union, has been charged with fourth-degree false swearing, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement. Havens is an officer at the Palisades Park Police Department.
