Newark Airport flight delays, cancellations pile up as winds blast NJ

Flight delays and cancellations piled up at Newark Liberty International Airport on Saturday, Feb. 7, with a wind advisory that could bring gusts of up to 55 mph in effect until midnight.

The airport was the third worst in the nation for disrupted flights as of 5:30 p.m., according to the Misery Map maintained by FlightAware.com. The site also reported 284 delayed flights in or out of Newark for the day and 11 cancelations.
