Family of mom killed on N.J. road urges hit-and-run driver to come forward

The close-knit family of a woman struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver in Essex County last month is pleading with the driver to come forward.

Sharon Marcia Thomas, 57, was struck about 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 16, moments after stepping off a bus in the 400 block of Bloomfield Avenue in Caldwell, according to police.
