A banking giant is hard at work rapidly expanding their Jersey City footprint as Bank of America is looking to complete their new office digs in the city’s Newport section by the end of the year.
Construction is already underway at Bank of America’s future home within Newport Tower at 525 Washington Boulevard. The company already had a presence at the property but is taking over an additional 548,000 square feet of space that could open as soon as this summer.
The lease deal for the space, which runs for 15 years, was struck in late 2023. The expansion will span 17 floors of the property, which is situated about two blocks from the Hudson River and across the street from the Newport PATH Station…
