Nonprofit Integrity House recently unveiled a health services kiosk at University Hospital. The outpost aims to expand public access to life-saving resources such as naloxone, at-home HIV test kits and other prevention supplies.Located outside of the Newark-based hospital’s emergency department, the community health hub also provides free, essential items. Products include adulterant test strips, menstrual kits, personal hygiene kits, safer sex kits, wound care kit and pregnancy tests.The ED is where many individuals first seek care related to substance use. As such, the kiosk aims to ensure easy, confidential access to critical prevention resources and service information, according to Integrity House.Commenting on the launch, Integrity House Senior Director of Development and Strategy Naima Briscoe said, “Through this partnership, we are extending support beyond the Emergency Department by providing immediate access to risk reduction and wellness resources.”The Community Health…..
