All Montclair Schools Locked Down Monday Due to Threat, District Says (Updated)

An unspecified threat directed at Montclair High School Monday afternoon prompted the district to lock down all buildings, the superintendent said.

Superintendent Ruth B. Turner said in a message to families the district locked down schools at the direction of township police.

“Law enforcement responded quickly and worked closely with our school administration to ensure the safety of our students and staff,” Turner said. “After their review, the lockdown was lifted and schools were able to resume normal operations.”…
