On Friday, March 20, the owner of an Enoch Street home and a friend returned to the property to retrieve items from the garage when they were attacked by a pit bull belonging to an illegal occupant, according to East Rutherford Police Capt. Jeff Yannacone. Both victims suffered puncture wounds to their arms and legs and were treated at the scene, Yannacone said.
The occupants of the home, Sharon Cunningham, 53, and Hubert Coleman Jr., 55, refused to exit or speak with responding officers, according to Yannacone.
On Monday, March 23, the property owner and his friend went to East Rutherford Police headquarters to file complaints related to the attack.
