Newark police seek suspect in $200 package theft on South 15th Street
Newark, NJ – A daytime package theft captured on surveillance video has prompted Newark officials to ask for the public’s help identifying a suspect who targeted a residential property earlier this week. The incident occurred in the city’s South Ward and involved merchandise valued at $200, according to authorities.
The theft happened Monday morning in the 400 block of South 15th Street, where a suspect was recorded removing a delivered package from a front porch before fleeing the area. Officials say the suspect has not yet been identified.
“Police Seek Help Identifying Package Theft Suspect,” said Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr. “At approximately 10:34 a.m., the suspect was captured on surveillance video taking the package from a home in the 400 block of South 15th Street.”
